USA Martial Arts Federation
Southeast Region Headquarters

The USA Martial Arts Federation’s Southeast Region is proud of its heritage and honored to be part of a martial arts family network linking Korea, Japan, the United States and Canada. Our students and instructors are certified on both national and international levels.

For over 30 years, Southeast Regional Director, Van Bushnell, was the head instructor of Alabama’s Bluff Park Training Center which is the regional headquarters school. Although Mr. Bushnell remains Senior Instructor at the Bluff Park school his protégé, Keith MacConkey, serves as head instructor there. Mr. Bushnell’s primary focus is now the service and development of regional USA Martial Arts Federation training centers.

The goal of our training centers of the southeast is to provide an environment of positive energy and support where students learn safely.  Our instructors, assistants and staff strive to set good examples for everyone they meet in the training center and in the community at large.  Our centers emphasize the qualities of courtesy and integrity.  We teach using methods of positive reinforcement and offer personalized service in “private” school size classes.

Our karate practitioners have Olympic affiliation via our relationship with USA Karate membership which is the National Governing Body for Sport Karate as recognized by the United States Olympic Committee.
